In the 19th century and throughout the 20th century, the Islamic world witnessed the emergence of a large number of approaches and approaches of thought and currents and political groupings that were formed in response to the situation of that period.

Foreign colonialism, tyranny of internal rulers, the backwardness of Muslim countries from the convoy of progress and progress, distance from the teachings of Islam and internal conflicts are the most important problems of the Islamic world in the mentioned period. In this period, the Islamic world has been the arena of elites and pioneers who were promoters and lovers of liberalism, and a group turned to socialism, and a group turned to nationalism with its different divisions. Each category and group tries to solve the problem of the Islamic world from the same point of view. But little by little, by proving the ineffectiveness of the mentioned approaches and proving the weakness of various ideas, especially the idea of Arab nationalism, which was proven by the defeat of the Arabs under the leadership of Abdul Nasser against Israel. In such an atmosphere, the Islamic revolution in the Islamic world opened up a new way and its leadership emphasized the element of self-awareness of the oppressed nations by correctly recognizing the harms and sufferings of the Islamic world.
¤ Umm al-Mirz of the Islamic world
As Imam Khomeini (RA) in his pathophysiology of the ruling situation in the Islamic world and the problems that have plagued these societies, considers the loss of culture and identity as its main cause and states: “We have lost ourselves now, we have lost our pride now, until this lost thing is found, you will not become independent.”1
Imam Khomeini (may Allah be pleased with him) considers Western colonialism to be one of the main causes of this historical and identity loss and says: “Westerners have tried to deprive us of ourselves, to make us empty, to make us understand that you are nothing and that everything is the West and you must face the West.”2
He introduces the spread of western values and culture as the source of the diseases of the Islamic world and considers the way out to be liberation from these cultures and values3.
The correct diagnosis of the problems and sufferings of the Islamic world and its correct explanation and the presentation of a logical and realistic solution along with the successful experience of a revolutionary process and the establishment of a system based on religious democracy was not something that the West could hide in the Islamic world. keep it closed or young people who are thirsty for justice and independence will not seek it. The analysis that the supreme leader of the revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, presents about the state of the Islamic world, shows his correct understanding and deep knowledge of this state of the Islamic world.
“A look at the cultural, social, economic and military situation of the Muslim countries today and observe its spiritual and material weakness and a look at the political systems and the state of the governments of most of these countries, where everything shows a sense of inferiority and helplessness. Let it be said that one of the most important causes of this situation is the alienation and disconnection of these countries and nations from their historical pasts and the glory and greatness that over the centuries can lead every weak and hopeless person to move and strive with hope. 4
Colonialism, by defeating national pride and disconnecting them from the past and Islamic teachings, prepared the Islamic nations to accept the domination culture and western values. And with this report, we witnessed that all the manifestations of the West have penetrated and spread in the personal and social interactions of the Islamic world, and the result is the moral, cultural and social crises that have dominated these societies.
As the leader of the revolution says: “Taking over the fate of the Muslim nations – which has been the goal of the colonizers, directly and indirectly, since the end of the 18th century AD – naturally required that the sense of pride and character of the Muslim nations be broken, and they are completely cut off from their glorious past. and in this way abandon their culture and morals and be ready to accept the western culture and colonial teachings. And this trick was used in a very favorable environment provided by the domination of corrupt and despotic governments in Islamic countries, and the flood of the western culture and all the concepts that colonialism spread among Muslim nations to ensure its political and economic domination. Nations are considered necessary, it was started and the result was that during two hundred years, all Islamic countries will turn into a vast and unobstructed table and a refuge for Western looters.”5
The Islamic revolution was the way out of this crisis in the Islamic world in the view of the Islamic societies, especially the young people who were tired and disillusioned with the ideologies of the West and diverse approaches and ambitious claims, which all ended in detours and misdirections. He usurped their independence and ruled colonialism and tyranny over all the elements of power and destiny of Islamic nations, which was based on an inner truth of Islamic societies; “No nation can find independence unless it understands itself. As long as they lose themselves and put others in their place, they cannot find independence.” 6
The message of this Islamic revolution was to return to oneself and find identity in Islamic societies, which gradually became the dominant discourse of identity seeking; The discourse of identity, whose main components and elements are undoubtedly based on Islamic values. If Imam Khomeini (RA) introduces the way to recover the identity of Muslims by returning to the Qur’an and Islamic values.
“Unfortunately, with such power and blessings for creating identity and solving spiritual and social crises, Islamic societies have faced many problems by falling away from Islam and the Holy Qur’an today, and… we Muslims who have left Islam We have become distant and isolated from Islamic truths.” 7
¤ The first arrows aimed at the West are elites and intellectuals
The reflection of the message of the Islamic revolution in Islamic countries is the process of returning to oneself and finding one’s identity, which led to Islamic awakening and awakening, and caused the western world and their allied and despotic regimes to be bewildered. This rise which has spread in the Islamic world today, in spite of all the informational claims and measuring the attitudes and vigilance of the wide and long information systems of the western world and authoritarian governments, in the previous years, the beginning and the process of its growth and development It has reached maturity and has emerged today.
Despite the concealment of these facts or the lack of understanding of them or the deliberate denial of this fact by Western governments and media, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in his numerous messages and speeches 8 addressed the Islamic awakening and explained its coordinates and strongly They hoped for the spread of this discourse in the Islamic world and heralded its imminent development. And besides that, they demanded logic and intelligence against the tricks of the enemies, as they mention in their message to Muslims:
“The arrogant enemy who is the awakening of the Islamic Ummah, the threat to his interests and illegitimate interests, the most important weapon he has in his hand against the growing wave is the psychological weapon: Disappointing, humiliating identity, flaunting one’s power and material civilization, today and in the future, thousands of propaganda tools have been used and will be used to discourage Muslims from a bright future or encourage them to a future that is in line with their own evil intentions. … The target of this poisonous arrow is first the elites and intellectuals and then the mass of people.”9
The focus of this discourse, which was theorized by Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, is perseverance in the path of the great goal and the return of Islamic greatness, which was rightly reflected in the souls and hearts of the young Muslims of the Islamic world in the recent great awakening. Imam Khomeini (RA) advises scholars and thinkers of the Islamic world to resist and stand firm: “The scholars of Balad and Islamic countries should discuss and consult and exchange opinions with each other about solving the problems and problems of Muslims and their exit from the control of the power of different governments and to protect the interests of Muslims.”
And in another place they say: “You must make sacrifices in re-referencing the greatness of Islam, which is important in its spiritual greatness.” 10
From the point of view of the leader of the revolution, the message of the Islamic revolution, which they refer to as the great lesson of Imam Khomeini (RA), is to return to oneself and return to Islam, which is liberating and the basic element of the awakening of the Islamic Ummah.
“The great lesson of Imam Rahal Azim al-Shaan Ma (Quds Sar) was to return to oneself, to return to Islam and to recognize one’s worth and the value of one’s countless spiritual resources. By following this lesson, the nation of Iran stepped on the road to prosperity and went through many stages in it and is still on that path.”11
¤ Discourse of identity
The conclusion of this approach that the focal point of the Islamic awakening today is the Islamic world, is a discourse of identity, from this point of view and with the experience gained from the Islamic Revolution of Iran, as well as many evidences in the historical experience of Muslims, especially in the developments of the history of early Islam, that Imam (RA) ) and the supreme leader of the revolution, they consider the only way to change the political scene of the Islamic world and to change the balance of power in favor of Muslims is for Muslims to return to themselves and their Islamic and national identity. In this approach, Islam and Islamic culture, as an inexhaustible reserve and an irreplaceable model in this direction, is the most efficient and effective mechanism on which the rise of the Islamic world will be based on the promise of a new Middle East based on Islamic values and discourse informed by It is Tunisia, and its outcome will be to erase all manifestations of polytheism, authoritarian governments, as well as erasing the traces and presence of governments and the culture of colonialism and arrogance in the Islamic world.
Today, more than ever, this message of Ayatollah Khamenei resonates in the space and fields of popular movements and uprisings in the world: “Today, the call of the Prophet of Mercy is heard more clearly than ever, and the call to Islam, which is a call to It is justice, freedom and salvation, it is heard with more resonance. The pieces of the black night of arrogance, cruelty and tyranny on the one hand, and ignorance, superstition and deception on the other hand, have made mankind more than ever in need of the light of salvation and thirsty for justice, peace and brotherhood. Today, the call of the kingdom: “Glory be to the word, there is nothing between us and between us, there is no god but Allah…” which is the rejection of the Gods of power and wealth and arraying against oppression and oppressors and touches the ears and hearts of the captives and the oppressed more than ever. And the glad tidings: “In Allah, Ali Nasrham Qadeer”, gives them encouragement and hope.” 12
Today, the audience of this royal inspiration and message have recreated Islamic awakening, religious identity and self-respect under the shelter of the breeze of mercy and the sublime messages of the Qur’an. And God willing, its bright dawn will be witnessed by all those who are interested in justice, honor and Islamic dignity.
