Considering the Imam’s unique leadership in confronting the powers and leading a revolution to victory and leading the wave of Islamic awakening and facing its problems, examining the problems and obstacles of this phenomenon from the perspective of that great man of history is of great importance. The analysis and investigation of these obstacles, based on the Imam’s findings, should be considered as a valuable achievement for the followers of Islam, experts and leaders of Islamic movements. . 
Obstacles to Islamic awakening 
1Distortion of Islam and inversion of religious concepts 
With the gradual distancing of the Islamic societies from the main and original Islamic concepts and teachings and the transformation of the primary message of Islam demanding justice, this school slowly fell from growth, became perverted and turned to decline. Valuable concepts such as justice, installments, jihad, Hajj Ibrahimi, martyrdom, famous thing, etc. Due to being a danger to the powerful, it was either distorted or forgotten. On the other hand, sectarian and Arab tendencies, the entry of Greek ideas and non-Islamic culture, inspiration from Western education and worldview, isolated Islamic ideals. Later, these issues led to the idea that Islam is not compatible with the contemporary era . 
Most of the educated people, unaware of the rich assets and reserves of their Islamic culture, saw the key to the development and even salvation of the society in the adoption of western sciences, values and philosophy. In a meeting he has with some officials, the Imam points out that the enemies have seen their salvation in the fact that Islam does not exist in these countries or at least does not have content. Although they have not been successful in the first part, they have succeeded in making Islam meaningless.
Therefore, many people who have been looking for the revival of religion and religious thinking in the society started by revising some of the key concepts of Islamic thought which had caused confusion and stagnation due to wrong interpretations. But they have introduced Islam in a different way… in order to take the revolutionary and vital nature of Islam from it and not allow Muslims to be in the effort and movement… they have propagated that Islam is not a comprehensive religion, it is not a religion of life. It does not have systems and rules for society. He has not brought the style of government and the laws of government. Islam is only the rules of menstruation and puerperium, it also has morals, but it has nothing about the life and management of the society…” Imam’s efforts to popularize the government and create a republican system from the position of a scholar of Islam and a thoughtful mujtahid, for many It was fresh and surprising. What he thinks about women and their role in the society, government jurisprudence and ijtihad, rejection of stonewalling and regressives and the holy of Maaban, barefoot Islam, etc., caused the re-introduction of Islam in the scene of human life, especially in the Islamic world, and breathed a new spirit into it. . 
All the conspiracies of the world-eaters against us, from forced war to economic blockade, etc., have been so that we do not say: Islam is responsible for the society and we must take permission from them in our issues and actions.
2Rulers of Islamic countries 
One of the obstacles in the awakening movement is the rulers and heads of Islamic countries. They think the establishment of pure Islam is against their personal and government interests. “The problem of Muslims is Muslim governments. It is these governments that have brought the Muslims to this day…” (16) “The black and shameful record of the painless rulers of Islamic countries is indicative of adding pain and suffering to the half-life of Islam and Muslims.” “We hope that this movement of Iran will clarify the issues to all nations… The nations are with us now, if they remove the spearhead from these nations, remove it from Iraq, I don’t know, remove it from Turkey, all with one voice. They agree with us. The bayonet has taken the front, but Iran broke the head of the spear, Iran stood…” The imam considered the deviant Islamic governments to be the cause of the evil powers that enter to deceive the people from the path of Islam. . 
3Division 
Contrary to the opinion of some concerned people, Imam Vahdat does not see unity as a tactic or an expedient tool to advance the political goals and objectives of the revolution. He has defined unity as an Islamic principle and considered the necessity of success in the fight against the main enemy and the success in getting rid of the current miserable situation of Muslims dependent on solidarity. With all his devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt, he is not willing to participate in the divisive gatherings that are formed to support the Ahl al-Bayt. Above that, the Imam sought to create a united Islamic front: “I declare clearly that the Islamic Republic of Iran invests with all its heart in reviving the Islamic identity of Muslims all over the world and has no reason not to invite the Muslims of the world to follow the principles of seizing power in the world and prevent the ambition and greed of those with power and money and Do not take the deception. We must plan to advance the goals and interests of the Iranian people. We must work with all our hearts to deal with the problems and issues of Muslims and to support the fighters, the hungry and the deprived… We must prepare ourselves to face the united front of the East and the West, the powerful Islamic and humane front. With the same name and emblem of Islam and our revolution, it should be established and the lordship of the deprived and the barefoot people of the world should be celebrated. The dirty hands that are trying to create differences between Shiites and Sunnis have been trying to “limit the impact of the Islamic Revolution and prevent the spread of its effects in the Sunni areas of the religion (both its oil sectors and the countries that are at war with Israel).”
In order to realize the goal of the unity of Muslims, the Imam used the available facilities and in this regard, he raised the issue of Palestine, Holy Day and the Ibrahimi Hajj, etc. . 
4– Petrification and sacred immobility of facades 
The imam mentions the holy faces as one of the obstacles to Islamic knowledge and awakening, and for the spread of pure Muhammadan Islam, they consider it necessary to recognize these torchbearers of stonewalling and stupidity and to fight against them. “… America and arrogance have people up their sleeves in all fields. In the mosques and universities, I have pointed out the danger of the sacred faces many times, they are destroying the content of the revolution and Islam with their forgery. With the guise of being right and in favor of religion and the state, they introduce everyone as irreligious. We must seek refuge in God from these evils… Today the world is thirsty for pure Mohammedan Islam…”
By pretending to worship and asceticism, which are the characteristics of this group, these people have inflicted the biggest blow on the body of religion throughout history. The great example of this group was Marqin, during the reign of Hazrat Ali (AS). 5Intellectuals 
In the same way that stonewalling and stagnation prevent awakening from the Imam’s point of view, attachment to the East and West and losing oneself before them prevent nations from getting closer to Islam. … Today is the time for the nations to become the light of their intellectuals and to save them from the pretentiousness and language in front of the East and the West. Today is the day of the movement of the nations. But in some cases, they advise intellectuals not to consider following western data as the standard of intellectualism. They consider the correct introduction of Islam as their duty and consider intellectuals to play an essential role in the continuation of a just government. And on the other hand, they criticize intellectuals; Indifference to Islam, Westernization, self-loathing, lack of knowledge about Islam, cutting people off are among the issues that the Imam points out to this group. . 
6– Affiliated mullahs 
Imam, while fully supporting the authentic and committed clergy, has very sharp criticisms of the clerics who are related to the court and power. Imam, while expressing his disdain for impolite and committed clergy, considers them worse than Savakis. These are the best tools that willy-nilly fulfill the goals: “Planning a dispute between Islamic religions is one of the crimes that have been perpetrated by the powerful who benefit from the differences between Muslims and those who do not know about God, including the preachers of the sultans who turn black from the sultans, and it is fueled every day.
