Despite the fact that exactly 32 solar years and 33 lunar years have passed since the announcement of Holy Day by Imam Khomeini (RA) and this issue is considered one of the most popular topics in the country, still not only many people, but also most of the elites And those who are interested in the topic of Quds do not know where the Al-Aqsa Mosque really is, and they only see and know a small part of Quds, which is often spread as a symbol of Quds.

On August 16, 1358, after the bombing of southern Lebanon by the Israeli army, Imam Khomeini (RA) declared the last Friday of the month of Ramadan as “Quds Day” and asked the Muslims of the world to show their solidarity in support of “legal rights” on this day. Muslim people of Palestine” to display.

From that time until now, usually during the last days of Ramadan, a significant part of radio and television programs has been devoted to encouraging people to participate in the Quds Day procession, but usually people have not been given complete information about Al-Aqsa Mosque and its contents.

However, recently an illustrated book full of color maps and pictures has been published in Persian language, and while referring to the historical background of Al-Aqsa Mosque, it has introduced the many parts and Islamic works of this important historical mosque and explained the developments of each in the 14th century history of Islam. Is.

The book “History of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex” written by Dr. Mohammad Hashim Musa Ghannouche, a professor of Palestinian architecture, has been embellished by Seyyed Shahram Farhanian and Hodsa Atefi, students of architecture and translation history at the University of Religions and Religions.

Examining this book, while removing many ambiguities, shows that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a large complex of 14.4 hectares full of Islamic historical monuments, each of which was built by one of the Muslim leaders or commanders at some point in history. Also, the name of that octagonal building that Iranians know as Quds is called “Qoba al-Sakhra” on which there is a big rock that can be seen in the picture below:

Also, the roofed part of Al-Aqsa Mosque with a green dome is located in the south of this mosque area, and other parts of this area include several small mosques, several minarets, several porticoes, pulpits, bridges, schools, and platforms, all of which are illustrated in this book. Is.

Also, Al-Baraq al-Sharif wall along the western wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque is where Baraq was placed next to it on the night of the Ascension of the Messenger of God. Behind this wall, there was a sidewalk where Jews used to bring chairs in the past years, and in 1930, after the investigation of an international group, the ownership of this wall was given to Muslims, however, after the expansion of the occupation of Palestine in 1967. This place was given to them as a place for the Jews to cry.

It should be mentioned that the distribution of this exquisite book is handled by Pekta Distribution .
