The Muslim community and the bishops of the Australian Catholic Church announced their support for the expelled Iranian cleric and called for a massive demonstration in response to this government action.

According to the latest news, following the confirmation of the decision to expel Dr. Mansour Laghaei, an Iranian cleric living in Australia, by the courts of this country and forcing him to leave the country, RFI website  belonging to International Radio France reported that the recent decision of the Australian government has angered the Muslim community in this country, while Lakai is considered a moderate Muslim and the government, despite accusing him of possibly creating a threat to national security, refused to explain about He refrains from the type of threat that Lagai has created for the country.

Didid Smith, the priest of the Catholic Church, was angered by this decision of the government and declared: the removal of a Muslim cleric for no reason is completely destructive for the peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians.

Dr. Laqaei is a moderate Iranian Shiite cleric who has been living in Australia since 16 years ago. He is fluent in Persian, English and Arabic. About 13 years ago, the Australian intelligence and security organization identified Dr. Mansour Laqaei as a threat. Security announced.

Dr. Laqaei has appeared in the federal courts of Australia many times, but he has never seen any evidence against him and therefore he has never been able to defend himself.

After all these years of fighting against this cruelty and injustice and several appeals from different courts, the Australian government issued Dr. Laqaei’s dismissal without providing any reason or evidence. The Australian government believes that because Dr. Laqaei is not considered an Australian citizen, he is not entitled to any fair rights and therefore the security organization is not required to provide any reason for this decision.

Following this news, the Australian Muslim community sent about 1,200 letters and a petition with 5,000 signatures to the Australian Immigration Minister, Chris Owens. Several institutions of various religions and Christian pastors have been widely supported.

After complaining to the United Nations, this organization asked Australia not to deport Dr. Leqaei until the United Nations completes a detailed investigation of his case. But in a brazen act, Australia defied the UN request. Dr. Lagai now has a week to leave Australia.
