The fight against economic corruption since 1375, when the leader of the revolution raised the issue of windfall wealth, has received attention at the level of media and public opinion, and a promise was made to deal with it, however, the most important case of fighting against official corruption was during the Ayatollah’s presidency. As a reward, he was convicted and imprisoned and was released after serving part of his sentence.
The most important case of economic corruption during the presidency of Ayatollah Shahroudi in the judiciary was related to Shahram Jazayeri, whose main charge was receiving huge loans from banks and giving part of his wealth to political figures, for which Shahram Jazayeri was also sentenced to prison.
But since 1383, when the fundamentalists won the 7th parliament and then won the government in 1384, until now more than any other period, the slogan of fighting economic corruption has been raised.
On the one hand, with tools such as the Court of Accounts, the General Inspectorate, the Audit Organization, the Ministry of Information and the Presidential Inspectorate at the disposal of the fundamentalist movement, it is natural that during these 6 years, if the accusation of economic corruption was directed at the previous governments, it was seriously dealt with. and the lack of serious corruption cases can be considered a court-friendly reason for their acquittal in the field of economic corruption, at least in the level of serious cases. Because in the post-election courts, some defendants were convicted and imprisoned for financial violations 10 to 20 years ago, and if there was a serious economic corruption case against the previous governments, it must have been dealt with in these 6 years.
But during these few years, the huge and heavy cases that have been raised about the government and the ruling movement are not comparable to before.
If the former mayor Karbaschi was sentenced to prison due to the illegal donation of about 20 million tomans, only the cost of 106 million tomans of happiness for Mr. Ahmadinejad’s victory was paid from the municipal budget and was never seriously investigated (even in terms of depreciation). Donations of tens of millions of Tomans to actresses have made the donation of gold coins no longer significant.
In this situation, each of the cases that the judicial system intends to deal with, is suspended by being tied to one of the heavy-duty government officials who are on the red line, and the clear and abundant emphasis of the head of the judiciary, the attorney general of the country. Tehran prosecutor and other judicial authorities do not have the power to cross the red line of the head of state on the need to deal with the corruption of officials without condoning it.
This is despite the fact that if the government allows them to enter, after the investigations, if there is no problem, the mentioned people will be acquitted, and it will be better for the government than the current confusing and accusing atmosphere.
