He sent an army to the region to kill Hazrat Sultan Ali, and finally, in an unequal war that lasted for 13 days, on the 27th day of Jumadi al-Thani, 116 AH, he was martyred along with his companions in Ardahal region, and his enemies beheaded him. It was dismembered and sent to the then ruler of Qazvin region, who was appointed to this position by the Abbasid Caliph, and his body was buried in the same place that he had bequeathed a long time ago..
