According to Saeed Shahsondi, a member of Nafaq , on the evening of July 7, the first and biggest armed act of the organization (Mafaqeen) against the Islamic Republic took place:

The explosion of the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party. On the night of the operation, Ali Zarkash, Alireza Madanchi, Ahmed Shadbakhti and his wife, Mohammad Ali Jabarzadeh Ansari, my wife and I were present in a secret house on the first highway of Abbas Abad. Zarkash gave the news of the operation to some of us and we were listening through the wireless listening devices of the Guardsmen and the committees. The indicator of the victory of the operation was the killing of Ayatollah Beheshti. The bomb was placed under the podium of his speech. The explosion took place at 9:00 PM. The intensity of the blast wave and the old building caused the roof to collapse and the debris to fall. The most casualties were caused by the fall of debris, with the explosion of the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Party and hundreds of high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic were killed and injured. The vicious cycle of violence and mutual violence was closed. The next decade witnessed mutual bloodshed and the killing of Iran’s children… On the day after the 7th of July, I and three other people as the founding group of “Radio Mujahid”, at the invitation of Dr. Qasalmo, went to the political office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the highlands. We became whisperers. A few weeks later, someone joined us. He had a noble and calm appearance and an organizational and executive spirit. His identity was not known to everyone. He was organized under the organizational name of “Karim Radio” in the technical department of Mojahid Radio. He was none other than Mohammad Reza Kolahi, who caused the explosion of 7 arrows . The last I heard about him is that he became a problem in the process of ideological developments within the People’s Mojahedin organization and I even heard that he withdrew from the organization and is on the sidelines, but due to his role in the Haft Tir incident, he is not able to live publicly. and lives anonymously.

The text of the Supreme Leader’s interview

The first time was maybe on the second or third day [after the explosion in Abazar Mosque and my wounding], I don’t remember exactly, because I was not in a normal state, the surgeon who treated me said that the Republican Party had exploded and some people were martyred. have became. But he did not mention the name of the late Beheshti. Since I was not in a normal state, I was not so sensitive to this and did not understand anything. And then I forgot. It was around the 12th, 13th that I insisted that they give me the newspaper and the radio to be informed about the news . The brothers who were with me, guards and relatives resisted and did not give up. I added on my insistence. They said that you can’t bring a radio here, because the devices that were connected to my heart and pulse, they said that they would break. I said, bring a newspaper, a newspaper that does not damage the devices. They didn’t even bring a newspaper and I was very angry that how could I say something and my friends and family are not willing to buy and bring even a newspaper. One day Mr. Hashemi Rafsanjani and Haj Ahmed Agha came to visit me . As usual, they came often. I did not know that my doctor asked them to come and tell me. My doctor turned to me and said to Mr. Hashemi: They insist that we give them a radio. Do you think it is expedient? Mr. Hashemi said: Not. I said: Why is it not expedient? They said that the radio has bitter news. It has disturbing currents. Then I thought the same, what kind of radio has bad news? Mr. Hashemi said that it continues. And they wanted to explain the process to me in a way. Later they said: For example, the headquarters of the party was blown up and some people were injured. Mr. Beheshti was also injured. At the same time, the name of Mr. Beheshti was also mentioned. I was very upset. When they took Mr. Beheshti’s name. Maybe I cried too. I do not remember. I was not normal those days either. I had a third surgery. When I heard that Mr. Beheshti was injured, I forgot to ask the newspaper and radio. I asked Mr. Beheshti. I said how are they? how are they They said that Aqab Beheshti was not feeling well. I was very upset and said that we must mobilize all the facilities of the country to save Mr. Beheshti. Then I did not rest again. I said that they are better than me or worse than me? they said: It doesn’t matter, it’s the same. Finally, the news outside is bitter and they left. After they left, I thought for a while. It occurred to me that there must be an issue. I told the children around and took the matter out of their mouths and guessed that he was martyred. And the children said that they were martyred right away. They said how my situation was then, it was almost very bad. And because I had fraternal feelings towards Mr. Beheshti and had an all-encompassing belief. We were familiar with him for many years, we were together almost day and night for about a year and a half during the revolution. All our work and efforts were common. This was very difficult for me

The incident at the party’s headquarters had a lot of impact inside. The reason was that people were interested in the party and these officials who were martyred. Especially after the revelation of the Majlis about Bani Sadr and the Imam’s decisive action towards Bani Sadr, they had turned away from this trend and had almost completely understood the invalidity of the liberals’ trend. When this incident happened, they also understood the brutality of the opposing movement. Of course, the stream involved in the July 7 incident was a mixed stream of liberals and hypocrites. He was not a liberal at all. But it showed how much they are cowardly people who are willing to destroy and martyr figures like Shahid Beheshti and the rest of the 72 martyrs in one incident because of political issues. This is something that naturally shakes everyone and makes them realize the invalidity of the movement that was involved in this issue . Therefore, the incident inside Iran made the process of the revolution complete and unified. If the people had understood the invalidity of the opposition movement until then, they would have felt the absolute rightness of the opposition movement of the liberals and hypocrites in the July 7 incident, which is the Imam’s line. The reflection of this outside was very high .

The narration of God

Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani

Description: Hashemi Rafsanjani

In the afternoon, I attended the meeting of the central council of the party . Important discussions were in order. They asked someone from the heart hospital to consult on issues related to the treatment of Mr. Khamenei (who was assassinated the day before). After the council meeting, to check on Mr. Khamenei’s condition, I went to visit Mr. Khamenei at night, he was better. The status of protection and other issues were discussed. At night, I was at home with Ahmad Agha Khomeini, I came home. Mr. Mousavi Khoiniha also came. We discussed the presidency. He called from the office of Imam Mr. Sanei and informed that a bomb exploded in the office of the Islamic Republic Party and some people were martyred. We panicked. In subsequent calls, it was learned that the bomb exploded in the same hall while Mr. Beheshti was giving a speech. While nearly a hundred influential people of the country were present and the building was destroyed and all of them were under the rubble and they are busy taking out the martyrs and the injured. With telephones, the news spread throughout the city. I stayed up until two o’clock in the morning and received news regularly. The news was terrible and indicated the martyrdom of dozens of people, and finally the news of the martyrdom of Dr. Beheshti broke my back. Although the conflicting news left an opening for hope. I only slept for a few moments. Fati was awake until morning, answering the phone and crying. Chastity also slept little .

Narrated by Ali Akbar Velayati

Description: Ali Akbar Velayati

If you have seen the old building of the party or its photo, in fact, this building was the former building of the Theological Faculty and was L -shaped and included a lecture hall and one floor, and the rest three floors. We went to that three-story building before 9 o’clock. And we sat in a room to discuss the drafting of the party bylaws. The meeting was held at 9 o’clock and we agreed to go at 9:15 or 9:20. The meeting was held at 9 o’clock. It was about 9:00 minutes when we suddenly saw an explosion. We thought that a bomb had exploded in our room because all the windows in our room were broken and the electricity went out. There was a shout from below and some drivers and people’s companions were in the yard. Dr. Shibani said from the window to those in the yard: “it is nothing. It was our room, no one took anything.” We came out of there. It was dark everywhere in the corridors and we were walking on a thick layer of broken glass. We went to the yard, but we still didn’t realize it for a few minutes because it was dark. At one point, someone from among us said :This hall that used to be, is no more. The roof of the hall was connected to the ground and leveled with the ground. Everyone just found out what happened. They brought shovels and pickaxes, but the monolithic and concrete roof had completely fallen. A crane was brought from the source to lift this arch, but the crane was not strong enough, instead of the concrete being lifted, the bottom of the crane was lifted. They went and brought a bigger crane that could not fit inside. They broke the door and raised the roof. The big crane suddenly broke and fell. Some of them were killed in this cave and the reason why some of them survived was that the chairs there were iron chairs. The roof fell on them and some of them had survived because of these chairs, and if they had sat on the ground, they would have all gone..
