۱- I was talking to one of the prominent satirical poets of the country. During the conversation, a barefoot person entered our discussion saying, Mr. Poet, how dare you write satirical poetry in this country?
Does anyone have anything to do with you? Do not meet? Mr. Poet also said that the leader of the revolution gave us the courage to write poetry and he was our main encourager!
۲- We were chatting with a well-known poet in 1988 about the night of poems in the half of the month of Ramadan. And the story reached the point where the anti-revolutionary media were maneuvering so hard that the poets boycotted the meeting, and they even said that we had phone calls not to go to the meeting! He said that in response, we started calling poet friends that the meeting we are going to is not a political meeting, but we are reading poetry in the presence of someone who is a poet and whose opinions are valuable in the field of poetry.
۳- Those who are remotely familiar with Persian poetry and literature, or at least are professional poets and novelists, know that the leader of the revolution is not an ordinary reader! Rather, they are an expert in the field of poetry, fiction, and novels, and this is acknowledged by each of the poets and novelists who have sat and stood with them closely. For example, I have either heard or read that dear people such as Reza Amirkhani, Seyyed Mehdi Shujaei, Qazwah, Biyabanki, Naser Faiz, Majid Majidi, Mohammad Hossein Jafarian… have talked about the mastery of Hazrat Agha in poetry and literature. That they follow the latest cultural developments and cultural products of the country.
۴- Unfortunately, many cultural managers of the country only carry the cultural name! How many novels have you read? What do you know about cinema and theater? How is your relationship with poetry? It leaves nothing for you except jasmine!
Unfortunately, in some fields, the leader alone is making up for all the shortcomings of men! They hold meetings with poets, with holy defense artists, with directors, with poets, etc., and our cultural officials are also looking for their factional gangs. Because he flatters us!!! So-and-so can take a loan, get a license, etc., because he is with us and the other is not! As long as the culture Captive of the game of individual tastes of our managers, the problem is still the same!
The fact is that during these thirty years of the revolution, our poetry has been safe from the political and partisan tastes of the cultural leaders, it has grown stronger day by day, and this growth can be seen in the meetings of the leader of the revolution with poets, but cinema , theater, … still in trial and error! The Islamic revolution is more of a cultural revolution than a political revolution, and it has the capacity to remain a source of light for many years! Hollywood doesn’t have honors, Jews and America make movies, but we are left to express eight years of manly defense of our country’s warriors! We have assassinated 16,000 martyrs, if the westerners had given a tenth of this, they would have filled the world with documentaries, films, serials, books and…! But refrain from a remarkable film in the Islamic Republic! All these martyrs, captives and veterans in the holy defense, each of them has their own life story, but our intellectual artist’s mind is not inferior to the problems of a few streets north of the capital city!
۵- Perhaps one of the reasons for the direct meetings of the leadership with poets and artists, despite all the busyness, which includes the quarrel of the leaders over the smallest issues of the country, to the large and complex issues of the Islamic and international world, is to cut off their hope from Cultural managers! For 30 years, they have been saying cultural invasion, cultural hypocrisy, cultural nativism,… and cultural managers who don’t know culture have not only done nothing, but sometimes they themselves have become the pawns of the enemy to complete the puzzle of the enemy! So, the commander-in-chief of the cultural forces of the Islamic Republic directly talks to the frontline soldiers
۶- In the special issue that we published in the university on the occasion of the burial of the unknown martyrs, we included a beautiful poem by the Third Brotherhood, epic and describing the warriors who died against the attack of the Baath regime. They resisted! Not more than a day passed when the flood of calls and protests started from the authorities and some seemingly religious people who accused us of a thousand and one unwritten crimes! And what we were saying is that your opinion about the Brotherhood is not what you are saying? There was no one who was in debt! And interestingly, since the burial days of the martyrs of the university coincided with the Islamic awakening in Islamic countries, the propaganda banners that we installed in the university were Imam’s speeches about Al Saud and pure Islam along with his photos! And the same group that accused us for publishing the poem of the Third Brotherhood, accused us of opposing the government, why did you install the Imam’s picture instead of Agha’s picture!!!
Culture is oppressed in this country!
And as for Hazrat Agha’s opinion about the third Brotherhood: “Now, the poet I was interested in – whose name I did not want to mention and will not bring – his poetry should not be published in the university, but the poetry of “Brotherhood” should be published. I don’t think it is higher than all in terms of showing the rank of poetry of the previous period. “Brotherhood” was my friend. He had a kind of thin relationship with me both during the presidency and after the presidency – the latter, who had returned from an apparently one-year trip to Europe – he wrote me a letter and wrote a poem and then passed away. Therefore, “Brotherhood” has no problem.
