Martyr Aref Al-Hosseini, dear son of Imam Khomeini (RA)

Martyr Allameh Seyyed Araf Hossein Al-Husseini (RA), the representative of Imam Khomeini (RA), was shot and killed at dawn on August 14, 1367, after offering morning prayers at Darul Ma’arif seminary in his hometown of Parachenar.

He was born in 1320 AH in a religious and spiritual family in the city of Parachenar, Pakistan.

Before reaching school age, Seyyed Aref Al-Hosseini was taught by his respected father, the late Seyyed Fazl Hossein, and after completing primary and secondary education, he went to Najaf Ashraf Seminary in 1346 to learn more about religious sciences.

During his stay in Najaf Ashraf, Martyr Seyyed Aref Hosseini (may Allah be pleased with him) was next to the men of action and struggle, and his first acquaintance with the beloved figure of the Islamic nation, Imam Khomeini (Quds Sar), was the beginning of an intellectual and political transformation in the life of this martyr. He was a martyr.

When he was in Iraq, he was arrested and imprisoned for about a month, and then expelled from Iraq by Jabir’s Baathists, due to his participation in revolutionary activities and demonstrations, in protest against the oppression of Grand Ayatollah Hakim (RA). .

After he was expelled from Iraq, he went to Pakistan and engaged in his scientific-political activities and gained a wide influence among different sections of the Muslim Ummah of Pakistan.

In 1353, he again went to Najaf Ashraf to learn more Islamic sciences, and because he was not allowed to enter Iraq, he inevitably became a resident of Qom seminary and engaged in political activities along with his studies.

Hosseini gained grace in Najaf and Qom seminaries from the presence of professors such as Ayatollah Seyed Asadullah Madani, Seyed Mojtaba Lankarani, Martyr Morteza Motahari, Ayatollah Fadel Lankarani, Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani and Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi.

Martyr Hosseini’s (RA) entry into Qom Seminary coincided with the spread of Imam Khomeini’s (Qods Sar) global movement. This martyr participated in the demonstrations himself and encouraged other Pakistani students living in the seminary of Qom to participate in the demonstrations. Therefore, non-Iranian students, especially Pakistani students, were under strict surveillance by SAVAK, and for this reason, they arrested and expelled Martyr Hosseini from Iran after being identified.

Martyr Syed Arif Hussain Hosseini (RA) did not stay idle after entering Pakistan and introduced the cruel face of the Shah of Iran to awaken the masses of Pakistan and supported the Islamic movement of Imam Khomeini (Quds Sarh) who was winning.

With the creation of Jafarieh movement in 1358, he joined it. Mufti Jafar Hossein, the leader and founder of the Jafariah movement, made Hosseini a member of the supreme council of the organization. His ability to manage collective affairs caused that after the death of Mufti Jafar Hossein in Shahrivar 1362, the Supreme Council of the Jafariah Movement in Bakr /Bhakr, unanimously, chose him as the leader of the Shiites and the head of the movement.

In order to spread the teachings of the family of Muhammad (PBUH), this high-ranking martyr established many educational and religious centers, including “Dar al-Ma’arif Islamiyya” and several mosques and clinics in different cities of this country.

Martyr Arif Hussain Hosseini (RA) besides his scientific and political prominences, also had good moral qualities, and for this reason, he was able to make a place in the hearts of the Muslims of Pakistan very soon and perform meritorious services.

Hazrat Imam Khomeini (RA) said after his martyrdom: I have lost a dear child. May God Almighty give us all the ability to bear the sufferings and the ability to continue the path of the martyrs more than before, and turn the plot and machinations of the oppressors back to themselves, and keep the dignified nation of Islam steadfast on the path of jihad and martyrdom.

He was the representative of Imam Khomeini in the affairs of Hasbiyyah and Islamic funds in Pakistan .

It should be mentioned that last year, “Syed Mohammad Mahdi Hosseini”, the 11-year-old grandson of Allamah Martyr Seyed Arif Hossein Hosseini, was martyred in the attack of a suicide bomber on the Hosseiniyeh School Mosque in Chamkani district of Peshawar, Pakistan.

A high-ranking delegation from Islamic Iran arrived in Peshawar to participate in Hosseini’s funeral. Ayatollah Jannati prayed over his body and after that, his body was transferred to his hometown Parachenar by helicopter. General Ziaul Haq, then President of Pakistan, also attended his funeral with a high-ranking delegation.
