Interrogation of Hosni Mubarak on the bed of Sharm el-Sheikh hospital
In an unprecedented move in the internal developments of Egypt, the country’s prosecutor issued the arrest warrant for Hosni Mubarak.
According to Agence France-Presse, “Abd al-Majid Mahmoud”, the official spokesman of the Egyptian Prosecutor’s Office, told reporters on Wednesday: Deposed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been ordered to be detained for 15 days for investigations. The spokesperson of the Egyptian Prosecutor’s Office stated: In addition, an arrest warrant has been issued for Jamal and Alaa Mubarak, the children of the Egyptian dictator.
Among the accusations against Mubarak and his children, he cited assaulting anti-government demonstrators and said: For this reason, the Prosecutor General of Egypt has ordered the arrest of Hosni Mubarak and his children for 15 days.
According to the spokesperson of the Egyptian Prosecutor’s Office, the arrest warrant for Mubarak and his children has been issued to the special police. This is while Hosni Mubarak was transferred to a hospital in Sharm el-Sheikh due to his poor physical condition, and the Egyptian Prosecutor’s Office interrogated him there. Also, on Tuesday, after the interrogation of Hosni Mubarak, his physical condition deteriorated again and he was hospitalized due to a heart problem. On the other hand, Jamal and Alaa Mubarak were transferred to “Mazreh Tare” prison in Cairo for interrogation, so that the necessary investigation of them can be carried out within 15 days. Also, on Wednesday, Egyptian youth held a demonstration that led to a clash with the police, demanding to speed up Mubarak and his relatives were blessed in the trial.
