“When I was seven months pregnant with him, I dreamed that I was in the mosque of Freeman city while all the women of Freeman were sitting. I saw a very respectable and saintly lady with a mask entered and two other ladies followed her, they were holding water bottles and they were spraying water when they reached me. They poured rose water on my head three times. I was afraid that I might have failed in religious matters, so I asked that lady why they sprinkled rose water on my head three times. He replied: Because of the fetus that is in your womb and this child will do great services to Islam.
He entered the Mashhad Seminary after attending home school lessons when he was 13 years old to officially start Islamic studies. From that time, deep thoughts occupied him. He had a special passion for the divine philosophy and justification of existence and man and mysticism.
One of the prominent features in the life of great people is their diminutive role in the family, but Professor Motahari was very loved by his family.
Like all those who sought the truth, he suffered a lot of hardships. When he wanted to make a covenant with the daughter of one of the famous scientists of Khorasan, he made a condition of his simplicity and purity in life.
He felt the pressure of Reza Khan’s tyrannical government on the Muslim people, especially on the seminaries. It is clear that a person like Motahri would not go through these problems.
The idea of establishing a scientific and research center for the teaching of Islamic knowledge occupied the professor, and this idea was realized with the establishment of Hosseinieh Ershad. The professor played a very important role in the establishment of Hosseiniyeh and was a member of its board of directors. He hoped that this Islamic center could succeed in introducing Islam and Islamic ideology and be a place to answer the questions of the past and present generation. For this reason, he spent a part of his time in the administration there with great love and interest and observed all the affairs with enough curiosity.
As we all know more or less, the main source of most of the professor’s books is his lectures in Hosseiniyeh Ershad; Famous books such as Hosseini’s saga, Ali’s charm and repulsion, distortions in the historical event of Ashura, etc.
Master Motahari had many friends and enemies like all great men, but the story of the enmity of the Furgan group is another story. The professor had fully felt the danger of materialistic thinking among thinkers and the young and revolutionary generation.
In order to prevent the influence of materialism and materialism among the young and academic generation, the professor wrote the book “Causes of Materialism” which was very effective. It could be propagated and recommended with the help of other groups, so that as soon as the teacher’s writings were published, the publication of these so-called commentaries was also stopped. Before the publication of Ostad’s writings, Farqanians had warned in the introduction of one of their so-called commentaries; Those who reject and violate their works will be dealt with in a military manner. Some of the master’s students warned him of this threat; But he said: “If I am going to lose my life in the way of preventing the deviation of Islam, let it be that this is the best way to die.”
And finally, after the publication of the book The Reasons for Materialism by one of its deceivers, Furqan’s group answered the idea with a bullet and deprived the Islamic world of its bright light forever.
