Throughout history, it has always been one of God’s traditions to test servants by their possessions, children, and families; In a way that this topic is clearly mentioned in the verses of the Quran.
And know that your property and your children are fitnah (Anfal/2); And know that your property and children are a means of testing.
إِنَّما أَمْوالوكومْ وَ أَولادوكٌمْ فْتْنَةٌ (Taghban / 15); It’s just that your property and children are a means of testing.
In this regard, the most obvious historical examples in this regard can be found in the lives of some divine prophets such as Noah, Lot, etc. A point that can be clearly seen in the life of these nobles is separating themselves from the unrighteous people around them in the family, which ultimately leads to their good end.
But with a brief look at the history of the revolution, the existence of numerous examples of this kind can be seen many times.
Ayatollah Mohammadi Gilani
One of the most obvious examples in this regard is the way Ayatollah Mohammadi Gilani treated his two delinquent children who were arrested during the riots of the hypocrites in June 1960, along with a large number of hypocrites. At that time, unlike today, the children of properties! They feel a safe margin to carry out their actions, their children were caught by the blade of their father’s justice, and finally the Ayatollah personally tried them and issued the death sentence.
Perhaps it was because of this desire for justice and disregard for family considerations in order to preserve the system that 28 years later, the president, in a meeting with him, considered him a medal of honor on the chest of the Iranian nation and added: “Ayatollah Mohammadi Gilani started justice from themselves.”
Ayatollah Hosni Imam of Friday in Urmia
After the victory of the revolution, Rashid Hosni (eldest son of Ayatollah Hosni) suddenly joined the political group of the People’s Faithful Organization and became one of their leaders, so that he was responsible for the West Azerbaijan branch. After identifying Rashid’s whereabouts in Tehran, Ayat Hosni ordered his arrest. He writes in part of his memoirs: “We identified his place. I called Ayatollah Mahdavikoni at the Tehran Revolutionary Committee and said: There is one case, send some armed people. I didn’t say it was my son… I said if he resists or runs away, hit him, don’t let him run away, and if he surrenders, arrest him and hand him over to the committee. They went and arrested him.”
The Friday imam of Urmia city further adds: Rashid was later transferred to Tabriz for interrogation and trial. Since the place of his activities was in Azerbaijan, he was tried and sentenced to death in this city, and the sentence was immediately executed…”
In this regard, he did not show the least doubt later and wrote: “When I heard the news of Rashid’s execution, I did not get upset because I had done my duty. I do not joke with anyone about the revolution, even if it is my son, and I have not made a brotherhood with anyone in this matter. Even now, if one of my children If he works against the counter-revolution and the leadership of God, I will do the same thing as I did with Rashid.”
Imam Khomeini (RA)
In 1959, when Seyyed Hossein Khomeini gave a speech in Mashhad in defense of Bani Sadr, the people attacked him in protest, he took up arms and the committee forces took him out from the crowd.
After learning about this issue, the Imam emphasized the necessity of dealing decisively with his movements and especially stated that his assignment to the Imam’s house should not be a reason for consideration and discrimination in dealing with him by the police forces. They ordered that Seyed Hossein Khomeini be returned to Tehran under protection and if he touches his weapon, they will shoot him.
Ayatollah Khazali:
But as the last example, we can point to Mehdi Khazali, the son of Ayat Khazali, who, with his central presence in Fitna 88 and falling into prison after it, marked the last page of the story of the children of the elders going astray. Therefore, this time we also witnessed a great disagreement and acquittal of our son. Ayat Khazali, while emphasizing his son’s deviance, issued a statement in his acquittal, which is as follows:
Almighty God says: “O you who believe, I am an enemy to you and my children, so beware of them” and he also warns, “Let not the people who believe in God, and on the last day, they will see me as the enemy of God and His Messenger, and if they were their fathers, they would be their children.”
In these two honorable verses, God Almighty punishes us, if your children do not side with God and the Messenger, avoid them and do not love them.
For a long time, my son Mahdi Khazali has deviated from the right path and is right in the opposite lane. Whatever I advise and appeal to God’s saints for his guidance does not work…. I have run out of patience, I don’t talk to him anymore and I don’t talk to him inappropriately.
The dear revolutionary nation should always know that he is separate from us in our scene and do not accept whatever he quotes from me. It has nothing to do with me, but even now, I pray that God will give him success to return from the deviant path he has taken, and otherwise, God Almighty will protect Islam, the revolution, the Imam, the leader, the president, and the dear Muslims from his evil. “

The admirable action of the mentioned scholars today should be an example for all those who have been on the foot of the revolution for years, but these sedition days have put them in the dilemma of choosing between “the benefit of the children” and “the benefit of the revolution and the system.”
The nation of Iran is eager to see its elites and properties like their brave predecessor in such a way that they do not even consider themselves and their children in the battle of right and wrong. God willing
