Gholat were radical, extreme and irrational people who exaggerated the imam, elevated the imam to the level of divinity and worship, and by taking advantage of their deviant beliefs, they fulfilled many obligations. They considered divine things as haram and many major sins as halal.

Sometimes he was considered God by the Imam  The Prophet introduced and provided many of the reasons for the infamy of Shia in the era of the expansion of cultures. They tried to capture the aspects that the simple and innocent people gave to the Imam, and by legislating various heresies in the religion, they gave their carnal desires a religious and religious color, but the Imam fought hard against them. He rejected them.

The leaders of this sect were: Ali bin Hasakah Qomi; Faris bin Hatem; Hasan bin Muhammad known as Ibn Baba Ya Qomi; Qasim Yaqtini or Qasim bin Yaqtin and Muhammad bin Nasir Nimiri or Fahri; that each of these people contributed in some way to the legislation of this group. As an example, Ali bin Hasaka Ya Qumi considered Imam Hadi (a.s.) as the Lord of the worlds and introduced himself as the Prophet of the guidance of mankind through him. He severely questioned all religious obligations and branches, such as zakat, Hajj, fasting, etc. Muhammad bin Nasir Nimiri added to the heresies of Ali bin Haskah, the permissibility of marriage with mahrams (mother, sister, daughter), the halal of sexual intercourse, and the belief in reincarnation (the dissolution of the souls of the dead in a body other than the physical body of a person).

Imam with a clear and serious position, while seeking innocence and distance from them,  He even ordered to kill one of them . In order to show their ugly face, he wrote the following in response to the Shiites who asked about the deviant beliefs of Ali Ibn Hasakah:

Ibn Haskah  God’s curse be upon him  He is nothing more than a liar and I do not consider him among my friends and Shiites. God curse him. I swear by God, the Lord of the worlds, Muhammad (PBUH) and his previous prophets did not send except for monotheism and command to perform prayer, pay zakat, perform Hajj, friendship and guardianship over the people. He also did not invite people except to worship God. We are the successors of the Prophet (PBUH) and the servants of God who will never associate partners with Him. If we obey him, his mercy will cover us and if we disobey his command, we will be caught in his painful punishment. We cannot bring a sign to God, but God has sent down a sign and reason for us and all His creatures. I hate the person who says such words, and I seek refuge in God from such words. You also seek innocence and disgust from them and put them under pressure.

In the following, the imam issues the order to kill them. It should be said that the Imam also ordered the killing of ” Faris bin Hatem “, who was one of the heads of grain, and as soon as this order was issued, one of the Imam’s Shiites erased him from the scene of the times and made the Imam’s heart happy.

Sophia

Sufism was one of the other deviant ideas that infiltrated the Islamic society and caused the discredit of Shia and the anxiety of the public opinion of the Muslim community. The followers of this school led people astray by presenting an ascetic, mystic, God-worshiper, averse to the world and free from worldly vices and impurities. They, like grains, benefited from all these titles in line with their profit-seeking goals in various fields. They used to gather in holy places like the mosque of the Prophet (pbuh) and they would recite azkar and prayers with a special attitude, in such a way that when people saw their attitude, they would think that they were facing the most pious people. And they were influenced by their demagogic behavior. Imam Hadi (a.s.) also discovered and neutralized this ideological conspiracy with quick and timely reactions.

It has been written that one day he was sitting with a group of his close companions in the Holy Mosque of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). A group of Sufis entered Masjid al-Nabi (PBUH) and chose a corner of the mosque. Seeing their deceitful actions, the Imam said to his companions:

Do not pay attention to this cunning and two-faced group. These are the companions of the devils and the destroyers of the firm foundations of religion. In order to achieve their body-building and welfare-seeking goals, they show an ascetic face and keep vigil at night to trap simple-hearted people. Indeed, they starve for a while to find a place to saddle up. These there is no god except Allah  They don’t say it unless they deceive people and they don’t eat less unless they can fill their big bowls and attract the hearts of fools. They talk to people about God’s love from their own point of view and taste, and they gradually and secretly throw them into the lost well (which they have dug). All these words of theirs, their hearing and clapping, and the dhikr they recite, are chanting, and no one except the fools and the unintelligent follows them and is not inclined towards them. Whoever goes to visit them, whether during his life or after his death, is as if he has visited Satan and all the idolaters, and whoever helps them, is like helping evildoers like Yazid and Muawiyah. And Abu Sufyan helped.

When the Imam’s words reached this point, one of the people present with a motive that the Imam was aware of  He raised a question that caused him discomfort . He asked: “Are these statements while they are acknowledging your rights?”

Imam looked at him sharply and said:

Stop asking this question! Know that anyone who acknowledges our rights will never be subject to our curses and taunts like this (those who do these actions and also acknowledge our rights) are the lowest Sufi tribe; Because all the Sufis are against us and their way is different from us. They are the Jews and Christians of the Islamic Ummah. They are the ones who try to extinguish the divine light, but God will shine his light on everyone completely, even if the disbelievers are unhappy.

familiarity

Waqifiya was one of the other sects during Imamate of Imam Hadi (a.s.).  He did not accept the Imamate of Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (a.s.). And after the martyrdom of his beloved father, Imam Musa bin Jafar (a.s.), he stopped accepting the responsibility of the imams and became stagnant in the imamate and leadership of the community. By denying the imams, after Imam Kazim (a.s.) and taking a stand against the imams, they even forbade the people from following them. Imam Hadi (a.s.) also started a cultural confrontation with them to prove his position of Imamate and leadership and subjected them to his curse just like the grain and the Sufis in order to make them known to the people. In this regard, “Ibrahim bin Uqbah” wrote in a letter to Imam Hadi (a.s.): I know that the waqfiyyah are far from the truth, am I allowed to curse them in my prayers?” The Imam is completely frank He answered in the affirmative  And in this way, he drew a line of invalidation on their misguided thoughts. The leader of this group was “Ali bin Abi Hamzah Bataini” who refused to pay Islamic taxes to the imam since the time of the Imamate of Ali bin Musa al-Reza (a.s.), as a sign of his opposition and disqualification for such behaviors. He was shaking hands. They continued their practice until the era of Imam Hadi (a.s.). One day, the Imam saw one of them, named “Abul Hasan Basri” and when he found him capable of guidance and awakening, he turned to him and said to him in just one sentence: “Isn’t it time for you to come to your senses? His soulful speech left a deep impression on him and caused him to change his behavior and wake up.”

This group thought that God is a body. They had very superficial and elementary understandings of religion and were unable to understand abstract things and things that are beyond the control of the body and matter. Therefore, they always denied many truths of existence that were outside the circle of matter or reduced it to the realm of matter. Little by little, they and their primitive and one-sided ideas penetrated among the Shiites and influenced their opinions with their superficiality and short-sightedness. The news reached Imam Hadi (a.s.) and the Shiites asked him to do their duty. In a letter, “Ibrahim bin Hamadani” brought their deviant beliefs to the Imam and asked him for guidance. He wrote to the Imam that among the Shiites and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) there are people who have been influenced by these absurd ideas and think that God is a body. Imam wrote in his answer to clarify the message of the pure school of Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh) in this context: “Pure and beautiful is that God who has no boundaries! It is never described in this way, it does not have any likes and dislikes, and He is the All-Hearer.

Believers in seeing (Ash’areh)

Ash’areh were a group who thought they would see God on the Day of Resurrection. Even they were of the opinion that God can be seen with this material eye. Shiites wrote a letter to the Imam about this group and asked for an explanation. Imam wrote in response:

Adhering to this theory is not allowed in any way. Is it not that there should be a reflection between your eyes and something that carries light and seeing? Now, if there is no reflection and light and this connection is not established, how is it possible to see that thing? There is a big mistake in this theory because the viewer can see something with his eyes that is equal to him in the body and if seen, both will be the same (body) and the requirement for that is the body. Knowing is God; Because causes have an inseparable relationship with their effects. In this way, the imam declared the distorted and perverted thinking of this group invalid.
