Conveyance of prophet ((peace be upon him) Or the raising of that Prophet to the position of Prophethood is the most important period in the history of Islam and the revelation of the Holy Quran also begins from this time. The word Ba’ath means “to be aroused” and in the term it means the sending of a human being by God Almighty to guide others.
As it appears from Islamic traditions and historical studies, the issue of the Prophet’s mission (peace be upon him) It was mentioned in the divine religions with some characteristics and signs, before the advent of the Holy Prophet, and many people of the book and some polytheist Arabs were also familiar with it. The promise and good news of the appearance of the last prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), mentioned in the Torah and the Bible according to the Qur’an, and Jesus (peace be upon him) Also, after confirming the Torah that was given to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) It was revealed to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has given good news. Also in these books, even to the characteristics of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) And their companions are also mentioned.
Therefore (and as the Qur’an also mentions) the scholars of the Book, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) They know him as their closest people. By referring to history, we can find many people who are waiting for the appearance and sending of the final prophet (peace be upon him) There have been people among them, even hoping to meet the Prophet (peace be upon him) They had migrated to the place of residence, the place of migration or even the passage of the future passage of the Prophet, which can be mentioned as an example of “Monk Lake”.
According to this mission of the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his family and peace be upon him), it was a great event in the destiny of human guidance and the greatness of this matter was the reason that the Almighty God, as a prelude to this great matter, was responsible for the education and training of that Prophet and prepared him for the difficult future that They had to prepare. The Prophet was looking for this divine training (peace be upon him) In the years before the mission, he had extraordinary spiritual states and spiritual observations, and as a result, he spent all this time with purity and spirituality. Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) They say: “God created his greatest angel from the Prophet’s childhood, his companion and companion. This angel was with him at all times of the day and night and led him in the ways of magnanimity and good morals.”
the Prophet (peace be upon him) Due to these spiritual conditions and spiritual purity, they inevitably suffered from the disorderly condition of the people and from the ignorance and corruption that prevailed in the society of that day, especially in the city of Mecca. Also, in order to think and pray in a secluded place, they would leave them for a limited time in a year and go to Mount Hara (which is located in the northeast of Mecca). This renunciation existed for the Hanafa and some monotheists before the Prophet. Govind Abd al-Muttalib, the noble ancestor of the Prophet (peace be upon him) He was the founder of this custom. During the month of Ramadan, he used to go to the mountain for solitude and worship and feed the poor who passed by.
In fact, it can be said that this seclusion is a ground for strengthening the spiritual life of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) And it was considered a prelude to the sending and revelation of revelation to that Prophet.
During these seclusions, like other different stages of the Holy Prophet’s life (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) (who grew up in the Prophet’s house (peace be upon him) and it is in his lap), the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) accompanied them and sometimes brought them food, water and supplies.
After the days of worship, the Prophet (peace be upon him) They returned to Makkah and before returning to their home, they circumambulated the House of God.
These situations continued until the age of that Prophet reached forty years and God, who found his heart the most superior and obedient, the most submissive and the humblest of hearts before Him, sent him and honored him as a prophet, until through the Qur’an which He made it clear and firm, took his servants out of idolatry and led them to his worship.
The descent of the first revelation
According to most Shiite scholars, the Prophet’s mission (peace be upon him) It happened on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, five years after the rebuilding of the Kaaba, and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) At this time, they were forty years old.
the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), according to their custom, they had come to the mangrove cave for worship and meditation for several days. It was on the twenty-seventh day of the month of Rajab that Gabriel (one of the four angels close to God and responsible for conveying revelation from God to the prophets) descended to him. He took the Prophet’s arm and shook it and said: O Muhammad, read. The Prophet said: what should i read Gabriel revealed the opening verses of Surah Al-Alak from God:
“in the name of God. Read Bassem Rabak Al-Dha Khalq. I love human beings. Iqra and Rebek al-Akram. Al-Dhi Alam with pen. I know human science. In the name of God. Sing in the name of your Lord that you create. Create a man out of dirt. Recite and your Lord is the Most Honorable. God who taught through the pen and taught man what he did not know.”
Along with the first revelation and at the moment of sending, great events happened, among which we can mention the sound of wailing. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) In this regard, he says: “I heard the moaning of the devil when the first revelation was revealed to him. I asked him: “O Messenger of God, what is this moaning?” He said: “This is the devil who is disappointed and despaired of being obeyed and moans like this. It has come out.” Then the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) He added: “You hear what I hear and see what I see, except that you do not have the position of prophethood and you are only my minister and helper and you do not separate from the good path.”
As mentioned earlier, Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) At different times, including during the Prophet’s retreats (peace be upon him) They have been with Imam Ali and this is what Imam Ali said (peace be upon him) In Nahj al-Balagha, it is specifically stated that they were present with the Prophet at the moment of the first revelation. Of course, historical studies state that the only person who accompanied the Prophet in those moments was Imam Ali (peace be upon him) And there was one other than him who claimed to be with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) He has not seen those moments. After completing his duty and conveying the divine revelations, Gabriel returned to the sky once again.
the Prophet (peace be upon him) After the revelation of the first revelation
As mentioned in the previous parts, before the mission, to the Prophet (peace be upon him) It was inspiring and they had wonderful moods. But the quality of the revelation of the first revelation to the Prophet (peace be upon him) And its subject was completely different from the inspirations before his mission. And this caused the mental state of the Prophet (peace be upon him) And as a result, their physical conditions will change. There are two reasons for this change:
First, when the first verses of the Qur’an were revealed, they felt the greatness and glory of God more and more.
Secondly, during the mission of the Prophet (peace be upon him) The great burden of the mission was placed on him and the Prophet (peace be upon him) They were obliged to convey their divine mission to the people in a situation in which the Arabian Peninsula was gripped by a chaotic social situation, and in such a situation it was clear that the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) After conveying their call, they were not only denied and unjustly slandered and persecuted by polytheists, but they were on the way to the Prophet’s message. (peace be upon him) They will create many obstacles for other people. The combination of these factors caused the transformation of the Prophet’s state (peace be upon him) became. But God also strengthened his prophet in this situation and made him more ready to fulfill the great responsibility of his mission.
Returning from Mangrove Mountain
After this prophet (peace be upon him) They came down from the mountain and went to Mecca and their home. When they reached home, they told the story of their mission to their beloved wife Hazrat Khadijah (Peace be upon her) They recounted. Khadijeh (Peace be upon her) Also, during the years of marriage with the Prophet (peace be upon him) He had seen great and prophetic works in him, he said:
“By God, I have been waiting for such a day for a long time, and I was hoping that one day you would become the leader of the people and the prophet of this people.”
The revelation of Surah Mudassar
In these early days of the Messenger of God’s mission (peace be upon him) It was during his rest that Gabriel came upon the Prophet once again (peace be upon him) It was revealed and he recited the first verses of Surah Mudassar to them:
“In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful , the Most Merciful, Oh Al- Mudassar , Qom Faanzer , And Rabak Fakbar, Thiabak Fathar, Arjaz Fahjar, Latmanen Testaksar, and Lerbak Fasbar.
In the name of GodO you who are wrapped in clothes , Get up and warn your people of the punishment of God, and remember God with greatness, and keep your clothes clean, and avoid impurity, and do good to everyone, never give up and be patient for God.
It can be said that the meaning of this surah is that from now on, the Prophet (peace be upon him) One should constantly think of warning people against disobedience to God and not forget it for a moment, and it was like this that the first verses of the Holy Book of Islam to the Prophet (peace be upon him) It was revealed and he was chosen by God to be a messenger.
The first Muslims
As mentioned earlier, Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) Because of his closeness to the Prophet (peace be upon him) They were with him in the mangrove cave, and the moment of the first revelation was one of those times. So it seems very natural that Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) that closely related to these great events and the messengership of the Prophet (peace be upon him) In the mangrove cave, they have been watching from the Almighty God, there to the Prophet (peace be upon him) believe and be called the first Muslims, both among women and among men.
He himself also delivered several sermons (in Nahj al-Balagha) in the presence of the general Muslim community and most of the Prophet’s companions (peace be upon him) It was objected, they say: “I was born with the nature of monotheism and surpassed others in faith and emigration.”
They also say: “No one has turned to the call of truth before me.”
Regarding the first Muslim woman, it should be said that according to the general Islamic historians, Hazrat Khadijah (Peace be upon her) They were the first Muslim women, like the Prophet (peace be upon him) After being sent to the first person they met, Hazrat Khadijah (Peace be upon her) Besides, as mentioned in the previous parts, he implied the prophethood of the Prophet in his speech. (peace be upon him) have confirmed
After these two nobles, we can mention Abu Dhar Ghaffari, who was one of the first Muslims.
After the mission
After the sending of the Messenger of God, Gabriel descended from the sky, brought water from the sky, and taught the Prophet how to perform ablution, bowing, and prostrating. (peace be upon him) learned. Also, other rulings and Shariah issues were gradually imposed on the Prophet by Gabriel (peace be upon him) It was coming down. Messenger of God (peace be upon him) He also taught these rules to the first Muslims and they also performed these actions. For example, it should be said about prayer that Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) And Hazrat Khadijah (Peace be upon her) who were the first to pray behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) They stood in congregation and prayed. It is said that they prayed the noon prayer next to the Kaaba, but at other times they performed this duty in other places so that the Quraysh would not notice them.
During this time, the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) They gradually started their secret invitation, which will be explained in future episodes.
