Zainab Vahidi, a 13-year-old girl of the second middle school of Abchor village, Bojnord district, who wrote a letter to Imam Hossein (AS) and how soon she received her invitation from Imam Hossein! The story is as follows:
Question : What family do you live in and what made you remember Imam Hossein?
Zainab : My father is a simple laborer, my mother is a housewife, we are a family of 6 people, on the occasion of the Fajr decade of 2089, the village school participated in the Fajr surah memorization competition and got a bank card.
I received a gift worth ten thousand tomans. I liked this card very much and kept it well. A week later, the school told the students that they would collect donations for the restoration of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hossein (AS) through the Tombs Reconstruction Headquarters. I also gave the same card that I had received as a gift with the letter that I wrote.
Question – What did you write in the letter?
Zainab : I wrote : “In the name of God – I am writing a letter for Imam Hussain (AS) – many people want to go to Karbala, some say that we should get rich to go to Karbala, but I say that it should be divided and Karbala wants us. As I write this, tears are flowing from my eyes, God, may one day come to Karbala and grieve next to the shrine of that noble Imam, I give this gift that I received on 20 Bahman 89 for memorizing Surah Fajr with this intention, until Imam Hussain I will always remember him, if I had a lot of money, I would never hesitate, but my father is a simple worker and works for our lessons and expenses.
Question – What happened next?
Zainab : My letter was read by the principal of the school, he came to the front of the line and said, have you made your students cry, your teacher and principal? Everyone said no – the manager said: Zainab made me cry with her letter and I cried from night to morning, after that she gave me another Persian card as a gift.
Question – When and how did you come to Karbala?
One day, my family and I were informed that the Ministry of Education wants to take Zainab on a trip to Karbala. Later, they prepared a passport and the travel date was announced on the 5th of July, that is, after the June exams, and Mr. Imam Hossein signed my invitation letter.
Question from Mr. Razi, the manager of Zainab’s convoy – How did this convoy leave for Karbala?
Response : Bojnoord Education has allocated two gifts for the Karbala trip to encourage donations. A gift for students and a gift for teachers, in the lottery ceremony that was held with the presence of a large number of teachers, the number 47 was drawn. Everyone said that the owner of this number is lucky, let’s see which student’s name is lucky When we read the student’s name, Zainab Vahidi is the same village girl who wrote a letter to Imam Hossein, the educators who knew about the help of this girl shed tears of joy, the meeting was canceled and everyone was crying because of this good random choice.
A number of teachers voluntarily accepted 300,000 Tomans to pay for Zainab’s trip to Karbala. A number of female teachers also announced their readiness to participate in the caravan that will take Zainab to Karbala. There was a certain excitement in the crowd, so it was decided that this cultural caravan would go to Karbala at their own expense, and I too. As I had the experience of managing convoys, I was able to serve them. Interestingly, when the convoy crossed the border of Mehran, our convoy number was 1, and I hope that we will be number 1 in front of Agha Imam Hossein.
Question from Zainab: How did you feel and what did you want when you first looked at the shrine and shrine of Agha Imam Hussain (AS)?
Zainab : I was counting the moments to see the holy shrine of Agha Imam Hussain, when I saw the holy shrine, tears flowed uncontrollably from my eyes, I felt satisfied and I prayed for all the well-wishers and my parents, I asked God to help me pray on time.
Question – What advice do you have for students of your age?
Response : My advice to these girls is to keep their hijab and take care not to trample on the blood of the martyrs, pray early and respect their parents.
It is necessary to remember that Zainab’s innocent and sincere face has made her a popular face among the members of the caravan, the teachers request that Zainab be their roommate so that they can benefit more from her inner purity.
