Poverty and wealth are the test of God

Amir al-Mu’minin – peace be upon him – says to the people: Don’t look at these riches or these poverty and don’t pay attention to them, because they are not criteria. These are test tools. Amir al-Mu’minin – peace be upon him says to the people: Don’t look at these riches or these poverty and don’t pay attention to them, because they are not criteria.

These are test tools. Hazrat continues to argue with a verse from the Qur’an: “Aishboon, but I will not give me wealth and children, we will not rush them in Al-Khirat, but they will not know” 1; Do they think that when we give them wealth and many children, it is because we want their best? It has no whole. This is a test tool. It does not mean that we loved them so much that we gave them this wealth, it does not mean that we were their enemies .
Of course, sometimes these blessings add to their torment. So don’t care if someone is rich or poor. Just think about what duty you have to do in front of God. Hazrat continues to say: “Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, chooses the worship of the proud in themselves with the trust of the proud in their eyes”; God tests those who are proud of themselves and are proud of themselves – and those who are proud in themselves, that is, they consider themselves great – with His saints who are oppressed in their opinion. God tests them through these poor people. Of course, on the other hand, he tries the poor in another way by the rich. Many people have obligatory duties in front of the rich that they do not perform; For example, they don’t forbid them from denying, so that they don’t get upset !
They don’t remind them of their faults so that they can use their wealth! They respect them in order to win their votes. This is also a test that when they respect someone, do they respect him because of his money and wealth or because of his religion? This is a kind of test for the poor.
Prophets are a means of testing people
Another part of this sermon is about the test that God Almighty tests people with regarding the prophets. They say: Prophets were often from the lower classes and poor people, they did not have social status and outward splendor. The fact that prophets are chosen from among the poor and from the middle and poor class of society is a test for the people. “And if the prophets were of the power of God… But that is abominable to the people in the world.” The expressions are very beautiful, literary and interesting. If the prophets had such power that no one would covet their power,… this would make it easy for people to pay attention to them and listen to their words and pay attention to them. Because in the Qur’an about the Holy Prophet himself – peace and blessings of God be upon him – he says: “And they said, ‘If only this Qur’an was revealed to my feet, the Great Qur’an'” 2. If God wanted to send a prophet, then why didn’t he send one of the elders of these two cities? Why didn’t he send it to a great man – they meant great, rich and powerful. Has a young man who was an orphan since childhood become a prophet of God? “And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala willed that the followers of His Messenger would be… Amura la khasa la tshubha man garah shaiba”… this sentence is a very excellent expression for those who pay attention and are people of knowledge – he says: God wanted the followers of the prophets to be his own; It means that the motivation of people to follow the prophets should be only God and they should not have any doubts about the intention in obeying the prophets. Not because he has money and status, and they can benefit from him and make use of him for their lives, and… this point is very instructive for us to be careful, to see that Islam and following the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) is really true. What we accept, is it only because God wanted it, or is it because we also have an interest in it?
The more difficult the test, the greater the reward
Hazrat continues to say: “And the more the al-Balwi and al-Fawqi were the greatest, the more the meritorious and the noble reward.” This is a general rule that is clear; But Hazrat has declared it. says: Some of these exams are easier and some are more difficult. The more difficult the exam, the higher the reward. Simple exams that people can easily answer do not pay much .
In the case of Hazrat Ibrahim, falling into the fire was a test that he accepted with great satisfaction. If some people also understand the importance of those trials that happened to Ibrahim, like falling into the fire and… (which we also understand more or less). But there is a very detailed examination that we do not understand the problem at all. In my opinion, the most important test for him was the moment when Gabriel came and said: “Hel Lak Man Haja”; Do you have anything to do with us? Ibrahim is between the ground and the air in the space where he was thrown from the catapult to fall into the fire! In the meantime Gabriel came and said: Do you have anything to do with us? said: “Ema Elek Fala”; I don’t need you ! This is a test. This is more important than falling into the fire and slaughtering a child. In such a situation, a person should say: “Only God”. And it is important not to trust anyone else. There have been many such tests for the Prophet of Islam . The beloved Prophet of Islam also had a test; But what he obtained in the shadow of the exam was more valuable than everything we know in the world .
Hajj, common exam of all mankind
In another verse they say: From the time of Adam until the time that man exists on earth, God has tested everyone with a means that is common to all.. This is also a kind of test, and that is that he has placed a series of stones in a desert that has no water, no grass, no garden, and no buildings. There are some stones with a black stone. He has ordered all the children of Adam, from Adam himself to all those who live on this earth, that you should go and respect these stones and circumambulate around them. This is also a kind of test. A stone that, according to Amir al-Mu’minin – peace be upon him – neither sees nor hears, does not benefit anyone, nor can harm anyone. Of course, the fact that his royal face has an effect and listens is another matter .
What people see there is a stone. They should circumambulate in front of this stone and this is the most important act of worship that we and all Muslims are tested for.. In Hajj, Muslims are tested by Hajar al-Aswad, a black stone Don’t you know that Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, is the first to know me before Adam, may God’s blessings and peace be upon him, to the last, I am in this world with stones that do not harm, do not benefit, do not see, do not hear.”“: God has tested Adam until the last human being who will live on this earth in this world with stones that neither see nor hear. Just to obey God, they should go around there. Do they do this or not? Then the Prophet continues: “And lo Arad subhanahu ann zayaq Beitah al-Haram and Mushaira al-Azhu between Jannat and Anhar …” – here also some very beautiful and literary phrases have been mentioned, which I have summarized – they say: If God wanted to place his house in a place that had beautiful gardens, fruit trees, flowing streams and eye-catching views, and he would have placed such a place on a piece of fertile land… – instead of this. to place a few stones in a dry desert without water and grass – “Lakan qad saghr qadr al-zazali according to the weakness of the calamity”; His requirement was that the exam should be made easy and, accordingly, his salary should be reduced. Because in this case, it was not really an exam. Everyone wants to go to such a place. Don’t people all over the world spend a lot of money to go to famous countries that have spectacular places to have fun there for a few days? With this current situation that God has placed, the test becomes meaningful .
