The presence of seminarians in international affairs

You were the helmsman of the country’s foreign diplomacy for 16 years and now you are the advisor of the Supreme Leader in international affairs. On the other hand, scholars of the field have had a scattered presence in international arenas for a long time; That is, since the time of Grand Ayatollah Boroujerdi Qudssera, the figures of Hozwa entered the international arena based on their taste. After the revolution, some organized measures have been taken. Your Excellency, how do you see the field entering the international arena and what do you know about its solutions and shortcomings?

In our seminaries, these things were done late, but whenever we prevent harm, it is a benefit. International affairs must be formed in the seminary. It should be said that the goal of Islam in general and Shiism in particular is to become global, and not only do they not refrain from doing global work, but they also have a great desire to do so. Consider someone like Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, who is from Chisht near Herat, Afghanistan. He traveled to India and gave speeches there. Many non-Muslims become Muslims after seeing his awesomeness. Even now, his grave in “Lak Nehu” has many pilgrims; Even thousands of Buddhists and Hindus come to visit him.

In your travels, how did you see the thirst of the people of the world for the presence of a Shiite Muslim scholar at the international level?

If we consider the situation without paying attention to the propaganda of Shia opponents, this thirst exists. In general, wherever Muslims, especially Shiites, live in that place, the people of that region want someone to go from here and deliver the message of Shiism and the Islamic Republic and introduce them to the rich teachings of Islam.

Also, many people, even though they are not Muslims, want to know what is the essence of Shia that carries the banner of justice, revolutions and religion in Islam and has always been at the forefront. It may be safe to say that 90% of the revolutions in Islam were derived from Karbala and the slogan “Yaltsarat al-Hussein” has been the slogan of most Muslim revolutionaries until now.

The presence of the domain in the international arena should be accompanied by what subtleties?

In the international arena, one should pay attention to detailed and deep points; For example, it is very important to be familiar with the language of other countries, it is very important to have complete knowledge about Shia and Shiism, and knowing the culture of the destination country is also very beneficial and useful. If we do not pay attention to these issues, our efforts will not end in the desired result.

How do you see the international approach at the highest levels of the field, references and scholars? Do you consider the presence of the Hozah at the level of great authorities of taqlid in different countries of the world useful?

In order to realize this, it must be said that the ground for this must be provided; Of course, this should be kept in mind, an outstanding and unique professor who is the source of enormous services in the field and who is the inheritor of the Shia culture, is a capital that is not easily acquired; For example, next  For several centuries, someone like Ayatollah Javadi Amoli has been found. How many people do we have like Ayatollah?! He is a valuable asset and door in the field of interpretation, mysticism, philosophy, jurisprudence and all basic Islamic sciences. Then let’s tell them to go to such and such a place. Now, with what protection and with what preparations will their affairs be preserved? How much blood has been consumed until someone like Allameh Tabatabayi Qudssera has appeared? Of course, I consider the principle of the case to be necessary, but with compliance with the conditions and conditions and compliance with considerations. Protecting the lives of these characters is more obligatory than anything else; Right now, when he is speaking in Qom and it is being broadcast on TV, everyone in the world can see it, as well as other elders who are in the field. Our references are capitals  are our basic; Is it possible to put our funds at risk easily?!

How do you see the international approach at the level of high-level professors in the field? Considering how long have we seen the issue of opportunity studies in the seminary?

Whoever you send, be careful that their affairs are protected, because their affairs are Shia affairs, and their honor is the honor of Shia; We should not do anything to insult the honor of the great Shia scholars in a place outside the country. According to several verses of the Holy Quran, a believer has no right to violate his dignity; Therefore, their dignity and values should be preserved. These works are good by preparing its preparations; For example, when prominent people, headed by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, delivered Imam Khomeini’s message to Gorbachev; In this case, both his affairs and the affairs of Imam, may God have mercy on him, were preserved.

Considering the fact that the International Vice-Chancellor has just been established, how should this Vice-Chancellor function in order to comply with the mentioned points?

Necessary studies, careful planning and calculated timing should be done, consult with people who worked at the international level, avoid superficial, short-term and ephemeral work, and avoid these goals that are quickly achieved and quickly lost; For example, the successes of Al-Mustafa Al-Alamiya Society are the result of several decades of experience of the Islamic Republic, that such a large and honorable institution can compete with many other religious institutions. For example, the Vatican has many organizations regarding the training of missionaries and sending them to the world, or Al-Azhar University has a very long history, or Medina University has extensive activities; Regardless of what they teach, they have a very excellent position in terms of organization, movement platform, how to lay the groundwork and send missionaries and communicate with them. Sometimes we train and send a good missionary, but we leave his trail; However, the missionaries must have a relationship with the area. Also, we should avoid temporary work and look for continuous work. In the end, I must add that it is very important to know the international environment and the environment in which we are going to work.
